Most Depressing Day of the Year?

As my good friend Ben Kepple has reported, a British Psychologist has asserted that today is the most depressing day of the year. Apparently, he has devised some kind of formula that takes into account the weather at this time of year, how long it's been since Christmas, the amount of debt accrued because of Christmas, failed New Year's resolutions, and so on. As a result, he has concluded that today is the most depressing day of the year. (Perhaps not uncoincidentally, I turn 30 six months from this very day--seems like I might be more depressed then than now.)

Most of the factors cited in this formula doesn't really bother me too much, but I usually do find myself somewhat glum this time of year, because of the cold and the cloudiness and the just plain lack of sunshine at this time of year. I'm not sure that this is going to be the day I end up being most depressed all year. But it does seem like a more drab day than normal. I guess it'd be more depressing if I were a fan of the Falcons or the Steelers.
